Description
The CD42-STS is a subsea tracking system that enables the detection and tracking of moving pigs, as well as the location of stationary or stuck pigs equipped with electromagnetic transmitters. Unlike some other tracking systems, it does not use radioactive isotopes, making it safer and more environmentally friendly.
This tracking system is capable of deployment to depths of up to 8,000ft (2,439m) and can be operated by a diver or ROV. It has a portable receiver design that makes it easy to use and is field-proven with successful deployments around the world.
The CD42-STS can track and locate any type of pig, including foam, uni-cast, or metal-bodied pigs, as well as in-line inspection (ILI) tools on the ocean bottom. It has bright LED indicators that show the strength of the transmitter, whether the transmitter is passing the receiver or an ROV is searching for a stationary or stuck pig.
Overall, the CD42-STS is a safe, simple, and reliable subsea tracking system that can be used in various industries, such as oil and gas, to ensure the safe and efficient movement of pigs and inspection tools.
